UFC 147 main card official for Saturday
The main card for this weekend’s UFC 147 has been finalized.
Headlined by a catchweight rematch between Wanderlei Silva and Rich Franklin, the event takes place in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on June 23.
But the pay-per-view broadcast will also feature the final bouts for the middleweight and featherweight tournaments that took place on the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s first-ever international season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
In the featherweight final, Rony Mariano Bezerra meets Godofredo de Oliveira in the first finale from “TUF: Brazil,” while the middleweight match up has experienced some last-minute changes. Sergio Moraes will step in for Daniel Sarafian against Cezar Ferreira in the 185 lb. finale, as Sarafian was forced out of the contest due to injury.
Also on the main card, American Mike Russow takes on Fabricio Werdum in the Brazilian home country, while Yuri Alcantara meets Hacran Dias in the main card’s opening bout.
