TUF: Live Finale brings in one million viewers

“The Ultimate Fighter: Live Finale” drew an average of one million viewers on FX this past Friday.

MMAjunkie.com confirmed the news.

Those numbers mark the lowest ratings for a live main card on FX, falling behind “UFC on FX 1” and “UFC on FX 2.” This season of “The Ultimate Fighter” was the first season to air on FX. It was also the first season to feature a live format, as each fight in the tournament was broadcast live on Friday nights.

The five-fight live broadcast featured a main event between welterweight contenders Jake Ellenberger and Martin Kampmann that saw Kampmann earn a technical knockout finish. Also on the card, Mike Chiesa capped off a brilliant run through the tournament field of “The Ultimate Fighter: Live,” defeating Al Iaquinta via first round technical submission.

The event took place at the Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in front of an audience of 1,600.
