Total payroll for Tuesday card reaches $481,000

Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Amir Sadollah were the two biggest money-winners at Tuesday’s UFC on Fuel TV event in Fairfax, Va.

The total payroll for the event was $481,000. Figures were first reported by MMA Junkie on numbers from the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. Repeated requests from HeavyMMA for the figures from the state have gone unanswered.

Cerrone made $60,000 for his unanimous decision win over Jeremy Stephens. And Sadollah, the Season 7 winner of “The Ultimate Fighter,” earned $48,000 for his split decision win over Jorge Lopez.

Main event featherweight upset winner Chan Sung Jung, “The Korean Zombie,” picked up $34,000 for his fight against Dustin Poirier, who made $14,000. But Jung also made an additional $80,000 in bonus money when he won both Fight of the Night and Submission of the Night honors – worth $40,000 each.
