Keith Jardine vs. Trevor Prangley Set For Shark Fights 13

UFC veteran Keith Jardine made it clear when he was released from the promotion earlier this year that this was just the opening of a new chapter in his life.

According to Sherdog.com, Jardine has wasted little time in beginning his work back to the big show, as Trevor Prangley and he have agreed to meet at Shark Fights 13 on September 11 in Lubbock, Texas.

Jardine was released from the UFC following his loss at “The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale” to Matt Hamill via unanimous decision. The loss was his fourth in a row and his fifth in his last six fights. The UFC was notably lenient to Jardine due to his time on the second season of “The Ultimate Fighter”, as well as his ability to knock off top guys such as Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin. Unfortunately, the loss to Hamill was the last straw and sends Jardine back to the drawing boards in an effort to work his way back to the promotion he called home from November of 2005 to June of this year.

Prangley, like Jardine, is looking for a bit of redemption of his own. The longtime veteran of the sport was dominated by top-tier Strikeforce middleweight Tim Kennedy at “Strikeforce: Los Angeles”, losing via rear naked choke in the opening round. The loss was his first in seven fights, but, at the age of 37, Prangley is looking to prove he can still compete at the higher levels of the sport.
