Marquardt still suspended, but clearance paperwork received
Pennsylvania State Athletic Commissioner Greg Sirb told HeavyMMA.com on Tuesday morning that while Nate Marquardt is still currently suspended by the commission, he has received the paperwork from Marquardt’s camp that, at least according to Marquardt, will verify that his testosterone levels are back to normal.
Sirb told HeavyMMA that he and his fellow board members will take a few days to go through the paperwork. The commissioner also told HeavyMMA that they were aware of Marquardt’s situation for several weeks leading into the fight.
“It was an unfortunate situation for Nate, for everyone involved,” Sirb told HeavyMMA.com. “Nate just couldn’t get to the proper level in time.”
