Doom Classic
The game that really started the FPS explosion makes its way to the iPhone with a particularly great port. The limitations of a handheld system really lend themselves well to Doom's game design, as not being able to look freely in all directions isn't a handicap with these fast-paced levels. There's a reason Doom is so loved almost twenty years after its release, and being able to take it with you on the iPhone is great. Buy it at the App Store.
Zenonia 2
Role-playing games are among the hardest to find on the portable platform, but fans of deep storylines and intriguing mechanics have a lot to love with the recently-released second installment in the Zenonia series. This Legend Of Zelda-alike lets you choose from one of four adventurers, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, and set out on an enormous quest with over twenty hours of play.
