Rolando 2 Eliminate Pro Spider

Rolando 2

While the first Rolando seemed a little too inspired by PSP game LocoRoco, the sequel got nearly everything right to become one of the most popular games in the iPhone's library. Tilt the device to move your bouncy Rolandos to the exit, but watch out for enemies and environmental hazards. An awesome soundtrack by Mr. Scruff makes this one game that you won't mute to listen to your iTunes library for. Buy it at the App Store.

Eliminate Pro

First-person shooters have had a rough time on the iPhone so far - I'd expect them to get even better with the new hardware. The best of the lot so far has been Eliminate Pro, which boasts four-player deathmatch grafted to an interesting microtransaction model that allows players to spend real money to help them purchase weapons and upgrades, but skillful and patient players don't have to pay a dime if they don't want to, and the game is balanced well enough that good players with bad equipment can take on bad players with good equipment fairly. Buy it at the App Store.

Spider: The Secret Of Bryce Manor

Few games let you play as an arachnid with this level of realism, but Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor isn't your ordinary game. Developed by Tiger Style, this quirky platformer not only has awesome production values, but perfectly-tuned controls and difficulty, making it one of the best-reviewed exclusives on the system. Move your little spider avatar through abandoned Bryce Manor eating insects and maybe figuring out exactly what happened to the humans who lived there. Buy it at the App Store.
