Olivier Sarkozy and Mary-Kate Olsen have gotten engaged and the Olsen family is ecstatic. A source previously told Us Weekly that:
Mary-Kate's family thinks Olivier is the best thing to happen to her. They love him.
The happy couple first made their relationship public in 2012. They've often been spotted together at basketball games in New York City, where they share a $6.25 million townhouse together.

A source gave details on Sarkozy's relationship with his children to Us Weekly reporting:
Mary-Kate has made him a better father. She remembers all the kids' special events. She thinks he's a great dad.
3. Olivier Is the Half-Brother of Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy
Olivier's half-brother is Nicolas Sarkozy, a former French President. Wikipedia gives details on their relation to each other:
Olivier Sarkozy was born in France to Pal Sarkozy de Nagy-Bocsa, of Hungarian descent, and Christine de Ganay, of French descent. His father was previously married to Andrée Mallah and had three children with her, including Nicolas and Guillaume, whom Sarkozy met with weekly during his early childhood. Christine de Ganay divorced Pal Sarkozy, and then married Frank G. Wisner, an American diplomat, when Sarkozy was seven years of age.

According to Us Weekly, this will be Sarkozy's second walk down the aisle. The magazine reports:
This will be the former Full House star's first marriage, and Sarkozy's second. He was previously wed to Charlotte Bernard, with whom he has two kids, Julien, 12, and Margo, 10.
Bernard was a freelance fashion writer and author of children's books. In addition, it was Bernard who filed for divorce from Sarkozy. Wikipedia writes:
They were officially married in Nantucket, but had a second wedding in France, performed by his half-brother, Nicolas as mayor of Neuilly-sur-Seine ... In 2010, they separated. Charlotte filed for divorce in New York, and asked that the pre-nuptial agreement filed in France be set aside. The divorce was granted in 2011.
5. Mary-Kate's Sister Ashley Is Also Dating a Much Older Man
Apparently, after Ashley Olsen's split from David Schulte, she's been spending a lot of time with Moneyball director Bennett Miller, who is 20 years older than her. Olivier is 44, while Mary-Kate is 27, showing a pattern of attraction to older men. We wonder if their sister, actress Elizabeth Olsen, has the same taste.
