2. Gaga vs. Perez
Word of their feud began when Gaga
revealed that Perez sent her a heartless text after her hip surgery. "Still have the text Perez sent me of me in a wheelchair w the words KARMA written across + Madonna pointing a gun at me. Day of my accident," she tweeted. Then Gaga
went on the Howard Stern Show
and called Perez out for caring about ratings more than their friendship. "What happened was we were doing an interview . . . and in the middle of the interview he started asking me really terrible questions," Gaga said. "He was being very negative about Born This Way and we had had a lot to drink. He was supposed to be my friend and I felt betrayed, so I started crying. My friend had to come in and pull the camera out, they wouldn't turn the cameras off."
She went on to claim that Perez was stalking her and tried to buy an apartment in the same New York City building that she lives in. After that happened, Gaga's fans sent death threats
to the blogger on Twitter. Expressing his sadness, Perez wrote, "After a day of innocent house-hunting, I am devastated and my heart hurts that my former very good friend, a person I used to call my "wifey" and traveled the world with, is making very public and very untrue allegations about me on Twitter."
After he heard Gaga'a allegations on Stern's show, Perez tweeted
, "@LadyGaga So you called ME fake on the @HowardStern this morning. Ha! Thanks for the laugh! Have you looked in the mirror lately??? And I was the one who pulled away from u after I realized what a real-life vampire you are! It's been your M.O. your whole career!"
In late November, Perez went on The Wendy Williams Show
to give his side of the story. "I viewed her than more than just a friend," he said. He also blamed her behavior on her abuse of drugs and alcohol. When people are on drugs and alcohol, they behave irrationally, erratically and are mean to those that they love," he said.
When Williams asked him directly if there was any chance of them rekindling their friendship, he adamantly stated, "No."
