Fans who've waited years for a reunion of legendary boy band NSYNC were glued to their television sets tonight, but the producers of the 2013 VMAs had some fun torturing them with anticipation. Here's how it went down.
First, Jimmy Fallon announces Mister JT, Justin Timberlake's performance, and the set begins with a compilation video.
Then Justin performs his new song "Take Back the Night" followed by a slowed-down version of "Sexy Back," which then picks up some speed later in the song. Justin's song "Senorita" came next as he shows off his killer Michael Jackson-esque moves. Next was Timberlake's hit "Be My Love."
But where are our beloved NSYNC boys?
The stage goes dark ... but Timberlake busts out "Cry Me a River." Hmmm ... will NSYNC even perform?
The crowd is getting more and more pumped ... "Rock Your Body" is in full effect as celebrities dance in the crowd ... here we go:
The boys appear singing a few lines of "Gone," followed by their hit "Girlfriend." And then comes the infamous "Bye Bye Bye."
Once the boys leave the stage, Justin Timberlake continues with a couple of other tunes including his hit "Suit & Tie."
