Steven Spielberg comes in second with a solid $100 million this past year after success with his film Lincoln. The guy's a legend, so it's only fitting that his yearly income be enormous.

Howard Stern, Simon Cowell, and E.L. James each tie for third place with $95 million. After E.L. James took over the lives of every woman in America with the sexy book 50 Shades of Grey, he took home a pretty big paycheck. Howard Stern brings in serious bucks from his contract with Sirius Radio. Stern is also earning $15 million as a judge on America's Got Talent. Speaking of which, Cowell takes home insane amounts of cash from shows like The X Factor and the Got Talent series. These shows air in several formats in dozens of countries, making them a great success for Cowell.

Author James Patterson ranks fourth with $91 million. Not only is he the first writer to achieve ten million e-book sales, but he actually holds the Guinness record for the most #1 New York Times bestsellers. No wonder his earnings are so high.

Glenn Beck comes in fifth at an estimated $90 million earned from his subscription website The Blaze.
