Hampton University has put a ban on "twerking". This ban coincidentally comes just days after Miley Cyrus' infamous VMA performance.

The term "twerking" has also just been added to the dictionary. In any event, according to MediaTakeout, the "historically black college" has said that any girl caught twerking will be subject to "disciplinary measures". Unfortunately, this goes for twerking photos or videos on Twitter or Instagram as well.
MediaTakeout states that:
Multiple sources confirmed that they gave a lecture to entering Freshman about the "Dangers Of Twerking". During the lecture they said that students who were caught twerking (presumably on Instagram) could face school penalty.
As a special treat, we've provided you with Hampton University's Homecoming video from 2012. There's quite a bit of "twerking", hiked skirts, and grinding. Enjoy.
On a previous occasion, the school tried to ban "locs" with the idea of "Respectability Politics" in mind. As reported by No U Ain't Radio:
In 2001 the dean of the School of Business issued a controversial ban on cornrows and dreadlocks. Male students enrolled in the school’s 5-year MBA program who take the seminar class cannot wear the hairstyles in class.
Yikes! We wonder if other schools will begin to follow suit.

Well, Miley's Dad supports her twerking ... Hampton University has another opinion on the matter. Nonetheless, Daddy Cyrus isn't the only one defending Cyrus. Check out what Donald Trump has to say below.
