Dustin Hoffman has been successfully cured of cancer!
"It was detected early and he has been surgically cured," Hoffman's publicist told People Magazine. "Dustin is feeling great and is in good health."
His publicist did not give details about the type of cancer or treatment, but said that the 75-year-old actor will continue to undergo preventative treatments to minimize the chance of the cancer returning.
Finally, a cancer story we can smile about!
Hoffman, a two-time Academy Award winner, recently made his directorial debut with Quartet.
“I would develop stuff like every other actor,” Hoffman told “Good Morning America.” “The most important part of it is when you’re in your 30s and 40s and 50s, you think you’ve got all the time in the world. Suddenly, you’re 75 — you say, or get off the pot.”
Hoffman also recently wrapped up production on Jon Favreau's Chef in July and is set to begin filming Roald Dahl's Esio Trot in the fall.
