Is Chris Brown for real? As reported by Music-mix, the singer is washing his hands of his fame, saying he’s “tired” of his haunting reputation as “The Rihanna Beater”.

According to the source he said this in a tweet, venting how he really feels about his fame:

Don’t worry mainstream America. After this X album, it’ll probably be my last album. Being famous is amazing when it’s for ur music and talent. I’m tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I’m cool & over it!

Except, Chris was 19 years old during the time of his domestic violence case with Rihanna, not 18.

He also added this:

Will Chris ever live down his woman-beating rep, or will it take a career ending fate to stop the world’s sore memories of his past?

Although Chris says his “childish” days are over and that he is a different person now, he’s still getting himself into trouble with the law left and right. According to Hiphopdx, the artist has been involved with various beefs over the last couple of years, including a bar fight with Drake in 2012, a confrontation with Frank Ocean in January, a nightclub assault in June which ended in a lawsuit against him, and lastly… jail time for a hit-and-run that occured just yesterday! Apparently, Chris Brown turned himself in yesterday on account of hit-and-run charges from the just a few months ago.

And, Rollingstone reports, the singer turned himself in and did time… for forty minutes. A bail amount was never even released.

Chris may think he’s been reborn, but — America’s not convinced. Get it together, Chris!
