Friday's portion of SDCC 2013 was packed to the brim with awesome interviews, exciting panels, trailer reveals for some of today's biggest TV shows and a bunch of info about the games we can't wait to play.

These are the top ten facts you need to know about day 2 of SDCC 2013.


1. The Dexter Panel Announced A Compilation DVD for the Entire Series

During the panel for the show, a huge surprise announcement was made - the complete series of Dexter is now available for pre-order. It's set to drop on November 5 of this year. The overall deal for this DVD will feature "killer bonus disc of new special features and exclusive art of the Dexter books."


2. The Ender's Game Panel Ended With an Exclusive Clip From The Film

The Ender's Game panel treated the room full of onlookers with a n exclsuive clip from the film. Check out Ian Kar's official description of what was put on display:

They also showed some never-before-seen footage from the film. The clip started off with an unknown character's voiceover: "When the aliens invaded they nearly destroyed us. They will be back. Ender, you will be the one to save mankind." Then, fast forward to tons of aerial action sequences. We also got a glimpse of Ben Kingsley and Harrison Ford arguing over Ender's training, but it seems like the two are keeping an important secret from Ender, thanks to Ford. The montage ended with Ender commanding his troops in battle.


3. The Walking Dead's 4th Season Was Teased in a New Trailer

For all the hardcore fans of AMC's hit drama about people surviving the undead apocalypse, day 2 of SDCC 2013 must have been a dream. A trailer for the 4th upcoming season of the show debuted. That season starts on Sunday, October 13 at 9:00 pm.


4. The Legend of Korra Also Got a New Trailer

One of the most exciting (but surprisingly dark at times) cartoons that's amassed a huge following is The Legend of Korra. The Book 2 trailer was revealed during the offical panel for the series, which has us biting our nails in anticipation of September 2013.

6. The Riddick Film's New Trailer Showed Fans Something a Bit More Brutal

During the panel for Vin Diesel's upcoming sci-fi action film, a new restricted trailer for the film made its debut. It made sure to stress the R rating of the film, since it showed off Riddick kicking a machete through some poor sap's head.


7. Soul Calibur 2 HD Online is Coming!

Gamers were more than surprised to learn that an online, HD version of Soul Calibur 2 was a real thing. During the panel for Namco Bandai's fighting game future, this title was announced among a rabid crowd of fighting game fanatics. Tekken Revolution also got paid some attention on the DLC characters news front.


8. The Toys, Action Figures and Models Were All Amazing

After walking through the convention center for a few hours, it was quite evident that people kept stopping to snap picks of some never-before-seen toys, action figures and oversized toy models. Check out the photo gallery for some of those cool collectibles above.

10. Capcom's Cyber Ninja Has Returned

Capcom's booth added a new wrinkle to its already super fun setup - a photo op with Strider's sword. Which means the hype train for his new game is already on its way. Two new trailers for this upcoming reboot were shown. For fans of old school, 2D side scrollers, this is the one game you need to have on your radar.
