Just kidding! Not really, but — it’s not far from what a vengeful former restaurant employee accuses Paula Deen of doing…

Deen’s former employee Dora Charles accuses Paula of racism behind the scenes of her restaurants… According to TMZ, Charles — who allegedly “ran” Paula’s kitchens for 22 years and even helped her kickstart her Lady & Sons restaurant in Georgia, accuses Paula of giving racially-inspired, humiliating orders to her kitchen staff back in the day. The source reports Paula made Charles ring a dinner bell for customers, and, this is what she had to say about it:

That’s a symbol to me of what we used to do back in the day.

In addition, TMZ claims Deen made another black female employee, Ineata Jones, dress up in an “old style Aunt Jemima outfit” during her work shift. That’s weird — didn’t Charles recently sign a legal document agreeing she never felt discriminated against by Paula throughout the duration of her employment…? More, specifically, on July 6th? Something’s not right! But, according to the source, Paula isn’t too worried… she’s confident the former employee has cooked up the story over a matter of money, not race.
