Infamous Pirates of the Caribbean star and Lone Ranger actor Johnny Depp, now 50, opens up about the final moments of his relationship with Vanessa Paradis, 40. When the couple first announced their breakup back in June of 2012, much was unknown as to why the seemingly happy couple was breaking their ties. And, word around Hollywood was that Johnny was "heartbroken" and torn over the end of the relationship. But, luckily we won't have to be in the dark for much longer because according to US Magazine, Johnny is ready to talk. This is what Johnny had to say:
The last couple years have been a bit bumpy... At times, certainly unpleasant, but that's the nature of breakups, I guess, especially when there are kiddies involved.
We couldn't agree more. Johnny and Vanessa have had two children together throughout their relationship: Lily-Rose, age 14, and Jack, age 11. So, it's no wonder the caring parents' hearts are breaking throughout the breakup process. But, according to Johnny the kids have been very understanding and strong. He comments on his kids even further, saying:
The kids are the most complicated... The thing is, kiddies come first. You can't shield them, because then you'd be lying. So you can at least be honest with your kids, and you say the absolute truth to your child- that was very important to not pussyfoot around.
Johnny continues to spill the beans about Vanessa, saying:
Relationships are very difficult. Especially in the racket that I'm in because you're constantly away or they're away and so it's hard. It wasn't easy on her. It wasn't easy on me. It wasn't easy on the kids. So, yeah. The trajectory of that relationship— you play it out until it goes, one thing leads to another. So for whatever reason that ceases, it doesn't stop the fact that you care for that person, and they're the mother of your kids, and you'll always know each other, and you're always gonna be in each other's lives because of those kids. You might as well make the best of it.
We're glad to finally hear the juicy details on Johnny and Vanessa's slow but sure disintegration. We hope Johnny and Vanessa do make the best of it, and we wish them and their kids hope and perseverance throughout this difficult time.
