John Travolta appeared on Good Morning America today and ends up talking about the sudden passing of his dear from James Gandolfini. He makes it known that he has a specific plan for the loved ones Gandolfini has left behind.
My goal is to make sure that James Gandolfini's family is okay.
Let's take a look at Travolta and Gandolfini's history together, the devoted friendship they shared, and their past.
1. Gandolfini Consoled Travolta When He Lost His Son

A few years ago when John Travolta's son Jett unexpectedly passed away, Gandolfini made a trip down to Florida to be by his buddy's side. John remembers:
James went out of his way to come to Florida, and he would not leave Florida until I was OK, or he felt that I would be fine.

2. Travolta Has Been There Watching James' Boy Grow Up

When opening up to GMA, Travolta spoke about Gandolfini's children and how he wanted to make sure they were taken care of.
His little boy, I watched him grow up and his brand-new little girl. We'll just make sure they're taken care of. That's the whole idea.

4. James Admired John as an Actor
In the same chat on GMA, it's brought up that Gandolfini admired Travolta as an actor the same way that Travolta admired Robert DeNiro.
I was his inspiration to get into the business. He would see pictures of me on the wall from movies and decided he wanted to be an actor.

Together, the two actors starred in films including Lonely Hearts and Get Shorty. Through projects like these, they were able to form a friendship and special bond that would outlive Gandolfini himself. Travolta speaks highly of Gandolfini saying:
He was a people person first and then everything else.
