WATCH: First ‘Jobs’ Trailer Shows That ‘Typeface is a Pressing Issue’

He’s trying to make an Apple, and they’re trying to take it away. The Steve Jobs biopic, the aptly named Jobs, stars Ashton Kutcher in the titular role, with Josh Gad playing Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. The film closed out Sundance 2013, and will be releasing into theaters on August 16.

Jobs covers a 30 year period in Steve Jobs’ life, from the ’70s to the eve of the 21st century, where Jobs takes back the reigns of Apple and becomes, as the trailer says, “the original innovator.” While this is definitely an exaggeration, the film looks wildly entertaining, with obvious comparisons to be made to David Fincher’s The Social Network.
