Former American Idol contestant Todrick Dramaul Hall was shocked after his phone was stolen during one of his performances at Hazard Elementary School in Santa Ana. “Hazard” is right… According to The Huffington Post, the singer apparently reported his phone missing but retrieved it a little while later using the iPhone app “Find my Phone.”

The thief turned out to be a mother of one of the elementary school children that attended the school, named Bertha Alicia Avalos. Todrick later decided to press charges against the woman, and she was then taken into custody and sentenced to 8 days in jail. All that for a phone! Do you think 8 days in jail justifies a stolen phone?
