It seems like just yesterday NBC was beefing up Conan O'Brien's succession to The Tonight Show with some cute Jay Leno inspired sketches. Ah, how times have changed. Now the rumor mill is in full churn about Jimmy Fallon moving into the prime Tonight Show spot and bringing the show back to its original stomping grounds in New York City.
Jimmy and Jay addressed the issue with a duet of "Tonight, Tonight" from West Side Story, and according to the Hollywood Reporter's sources, it was all Jimmy's idea. The sketch signals a mutual understanding between the two late night TV hosts about presumably inevitable transition to take place next year. The other big question of course is who will take over Late Night once Jimmy leaves?
