Rapper 2 Chainz was arrested in Maryland on Valentine's Day for possession of weed, but he insists the cops were just "f*ckn wit" him so they could take a photo.

He backed up the story with a photo (above) he shared on Instagram after the arrest — flanked by two grinning officers.

2 Chainz and his entourage were headed to a show at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore when Maryland state cops pulled over their white van in Easton, reports DMV followers.

There were six people in the car, but only 2 Chainz was arrested — allegedly for weed possession. 2 Chainz points out that it wasn't even a bag of marijuana, just a grinder — used to prepare the bud for rolling and smoking.

The rapper was booked and released, continuing on to his concert date despite the delay.
