What could poor Justin Bieber possibly have done to drive two fugitives and a convicted murderer to plan to strangle and castrate the pop star? Surely there must be more deserving people in the world to inflict this gruesome fate upon, right? Mark Staake and his nephew Tanner Ruane didn't think so.
Investigators say two men from Albuquerque who were arrested last month conspired to murder Bieber at a New York City concert at Madison Square Garden last month, reported KRQE News 13.
Staake was planning to carry out the murder of the pop star and four others for Dana Martin, a convicted murderer that he met in prison. Martin is currently serving two life sentences in prison for raping and killing a 15-year-old girl in Vermont in 2000. The inmate also happens to be obsessed with Justin Bieber and had a tattoo of the singer on his leg.
When Staake was released from prison, he recruited nephew Ruane to help. They were instructed to strangle Bieber with a paisley tie and to then castrate him. Ouch. I hope if anyone plans to castrate me, they strangle me first, too.
Believe it or not, the murder plot was revealed to police by the mastermind himself, Martin, before it could go live (pun intended). Staake was arrested in Vermont on outstanding charges, but Ruane was let go.
