Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June Says South Park Episode Wasn’t Funny

Honey Boo Boo’s Mama June didn’t find anything funny about how she and her family were turned into cartoons and made fun of on South Park earlier this month, saying the show focused too much on their weight and is just “trashy.”

June and little Alana, better known as Honey Boo Boo, were on TMZ Live, and June was asked about how they handle being spoofed on South Park and Saturday night Live.

Me being a big person, I didn’t take offense … that show is just not a show that I would want to be on in the first place. Just the way they portrayed the show … it was kinda trashy.”

June, Honey Boo Boo and the rest of their redneck clan were made fun of a lot in the South Park episode. The little girl got to pick out a pig for her heart transplant, needed after she ate too much “sketti and butter,” a dinner staple in her home. Mama June mixes melted butter and ketchup and pours it over the noodles for the diet-unfriendly family favorite.

But South Park regularly skewers people who are big in popular culture, so Mama June should understand that by having them made into cartoons for the show, that really means they’ve gotten what she wants – her baby Honey Boo Boo is now truly a celebrity.
