Not since Roots has their been a "historical" film based on slavery that has caused so much guilt in white people. When Django Unchained opened in theaters on Christmas it opened with it a flood gate of racial awkwardness that would penetrate office break rooms from coast to coast.
The psychological disorder has come to be known as "Django guilt."
