The Saturday Night Live writer who co-created "The Coneheads" and "The WhipMaster," among other hilarious skits, has died. Tom Davis, the lesser-known collaborator with Al Franken, succumbed to throat and neck cancer at age 59. He recently penned these poignant words on dying. Today on Twitter, celebs and friends offered their poignant goodbyes to this comic genius and legendary Deadhead:

Awww... Not Tom Davis. The rock that grounded Al Franken's lapses into dickeshness and a solid comedy writer of the 1st degree. RIP
