Plaxico Burress plead guilty to a weapons charge and agreed to a two-year prison term for assalting his leg in a Manhattan nightclub last year.
Just for my own clarification:
Shooting self in leg - 2 years
Killing Dogs and funding dogfighting ring - 18 Months
Killing a human while drunk driving - No Prison Sentence
Seems logical, right?
In any case, it's too bad that it had to come to this. With all his leg had done for him over the years, why the vicious attack? Hey Plax, that leg helped you catch that game winning TD against the Patriots in the Super Bowl... remember? How quickly we forget. Whatever their issues are, I hope they can work them out so Plax and his leg can return to playing football someday.
You should have at least killed something, it would have lightened your sentence... and your career doesn't count.
