For 40 minutes a fire tornado raged in the Australian Outback community of Alice Springs when a tornado merged with a nearby brush fire. The freak of nature occurrence was captured on film by Chris Tangey, who describes the awesome event and fury of the "torchnado" that raged 30 meters high and 50 meters wide at its base.
