The Top 20 Candidates to Be Tom Cruise’s Next Wife

Tom Cruise is back on the market, but if his history holds he won't be there for long. He has patterns. He famously has divorced all three of his wives when they reached the age of 33. But his wives all have other things in common. His type is definitely tall, young, up-and-coming actresses in their 20s. From this we can make an educated guess about the top 20 candidates to be his next beard, er, companion. What better way to celebrate Tom Cruise's 50th birthday than ranking the likelihood of his bedding a variety of 20-somethings?

<b>19. Emma Stone</b><hr/> Age: 23<hr/> This seems like an odd pairing, but Emma Stone is pretty much the hottest rising star in Hollywood. Ok, I mostly put her in here to make the internet cry, but they will be at all the same parties so you never know ...

<b>18. Rumer Willis</b><hr/> Age: 23<hr/> I have no reason to believe that Tom Cruise will date and/or marry Rumer Willis, but she does technically fit the description. Besides how hilarious would it be? It would make everyone's heads explode. I'd love to see the reaction to this one. It just seems soooo wrong.

<b>17. Zoe Kravitz</b><hr/> Age: 23<hr/> Well, as long as we're talking about daughters of famous people, why not Zoe Kravitz? Did you see her in X-men: First Class? She's the same age as Rumer and has famous parents, but for some reason this one just doesn't feel that wrong. It probably wouldn't work because she seems too much like a free spirit, but we're definitely getting closer.

Mila Kunis kind of seems like the ideal of what he would would be going for, but she might be a little too established, a little too short, and a little too goofball. Plus, I don't know how Scientology feels about the whole Jewish thing.

<b>15. Emmy Rossum</b><hr/> Age: 25<hr/> Look at that picture. It's hard to say no to that. She's the right age (exactly half his), the right height. Seems like a good fit. I just don't really see her as the type to make headlines.

<b>14) Odette Annable</b><hr/> Age: 27<hr/> She's got a few movies under her belt, she's had two TV shows (Breaking In and House) and she seems ready to take a leap to the next level. She's exactly his type. Why not her? Okay, okay, so technically she's married. But the important thing is, I've never heard of him.

<b>13 & 12. Leighton Meester & Blake Lively</b><hr/> Ages: 26 and 23, respectively<hr/> Both of them are TV stars currently making the leap to movies. Both have appeared in some big-budget movies. Both tend to be tabloid fodder. Both are very Hollywood. I give the edge to Blake Lively because she seems destined for the bigger career and because she's a lot taller.

<b>11. Evan Rachel Wood</b><hr/> Age: 24<hr/> She's young, she's talented, she has weird taste in men. She's perfect! I just can't tell if she'd be attracted to his crazy or repelled by it. Fun fact: The year Evan Rachel Wood was in a movie called Thirteen, Tom Cruise turned 41. Bonus Fun Fact: Tom Cruise married his first wife the year Evan Rachel Wood was born.

Olivia Thirlby</b><hr/> Age: 25<hr/> The indie darling is starting to step into the realm of big studio flicks with <a href="http://www.heavy.com/movies/movies-videos/movie-trailers/2012/06/dredd-gets-another-chance/" target="_blank">Dredd</a>. The ideal time in her career for Tom Cruise to swoop in.

<b>9. Katharine McPhee</b><hr/> Age: 28<hr/> She's a household name without many credits to her name yet. Her acting career is on the upswing. She's beloved. It would be quite a coup for his reputation ... or it could result in shrieks of panic for her safety and mental health across America. Either/or.

Olivia Wilde</b><hr/> Age: 27<hr/> Originally known as the other other girl from The OC, Olivia Wilde now has a better career than all her OC cast-mates combined, appearing in well over half of all films released in the past three years. She may be too busy for Tom, but Wilde is kind of what I imagine his exact type to be.

Alright, I'll just say it. Out of everyone working today, Keira Knightley is the most like Nicole Kidman. If Nicole Kidman were pre-incarnated into another actress, it'd be Keira Knightley.

Emily Blunt</b><hr/> Age: 29<hr/> Emily Blunt has everything I could have ever said about Tom Cruise's type throughout this slideshow with one added benefit: She's working with him on his next film, All You Need is Kill. It's all about access. She's kinda married to John Krasinski from The Office already, but really, how much longer can that last? Besides, if he's not going to let a little thing like <a href="http://www.heavy.com/movies/2012/06/its-time-for-tom-cruise-to-admit-hes-gay/" target="_blank">being gay</a> get in the way of this romance, why would she let a little thing like a marriage? I maintain that no one can spend that much time around Tom Cruise without falling in love with him, anyway. So it's just a matter of time.
