Rush Limbaugh says "Obama hates America".
Well, Rush is the one who hates America, and I’ll prove it.
What makes America, America? Let's see, equality, diversity, the pursuit of happiness ... Rush hates them all:
Rush hates equality.
Specifically, he hates women. Rush rails against a woman’s right to contraception — a key development in the liberation of the American woman. If only that darn pill were never invented! Large white men would still rule the planet. Remember when he called Georgetown law student Sandra Fluke a “slut and prostitute” for her support of a mandate to cover contraception with insurance? Good times. He calls the National Board of Women a “bunch of whores” and loves his pet term “femi-nazi.” More generally, his good-ol'-boy degradation of women is rampant and unabashed. He doesn't want them in a man's world. Perhaps Rush would prefer living in a country where women are kept in their place — but that's not America.
Rush hates diversity.
“Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?” “Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.” These are just two of the many ridiculous racist comments by this great white whale. He also told a caller on his show to “take the bone out of his nose.” If this is what he says out loud, what's going on in his head — daydreams of white hoods and burning crosses? Of course Rush's hate isn't limited to racial diversity. He also hates diversity of opinion, succumbing to rage whenever it dare rear its head on his show. Call up and hate Obama or gays, it’s all grins and guffaws. Wander into his cage with a differing view and be torn limb from Limbaugh. Perhaps Rush would prefer living in a country where minorities are oppressed and differing opinions are quashed — but it's not America.
Rush hates the pursuit of happiness.
Rush is one of the most hateful opponents of gay marriage, painting it as an assault on real marriage. Denying two people in love the right to fully celebrate and commit to their union is denying them the pursuit of happiness. Rush of course believes that letting gays marry is somehow infringing on the happiness of straight couples. Rush says Obama is “is leading the war against traditional marriage” — funny considering the out-and-proud icon Elton John sang at Limbaugh’s 2010 wedding ... and it was Rush’s fourth marriage, not exactly the traditional route. Perhaps Rush would prefer living in a country where gays have even fewer rights, where the lack of equality is more pronounced — but it's not America.
Rush is such a blowhard that it’s hard to believe that he even believes half the crap he says.
But assuming he does, it is he who hates America.
